DELIVERY F.A.Q.'S

How much does delivery cost?  

Delivery to uk mainland (excluding Highlands) is free when you spend £20.00 or over.  Delivery costs £5.00 for orders below £20.00.  Delivery costs to the  Highlands, Islands and Overseas depends on the destination.  For more details see the Delivery Page.

How long will my order take to be delivered?  

We aim to despatch the working day after we receive your order so Friday, Saturday and Sundays orders are dispatched on Monday, Monday orders on Tuesday and so on.  During very busy times it may take us longer to despatch orders so please allow 5 working days for delivery.  For uk mainland, we despatch on a next working day delivery service but during busy times this can take 2 to 3 working days for parcels to be delivered.  You will be updated by the courier.  For Highlands, Islands and Overseas delivery takes a little longer and it will depend on the destination as to whether you receive notifications from the courier. Please ensure your address and postcode is correct on your order.

Can I get an update on my delivery?

Yes, if you haven't heard from your courier in line with the timescales above please email enquiries@the-mercers.com with your name and order number and we can confirm the status of your order.

What happens if a product I've ordered is unavailable?

Our website should show when products are out of stock but occasionally counts are incorrect.  If you order a product that is out of stock we will email you to see if you would like to wait for your order to be complete or substitute the product with another.

What happens if my delivery is damaged?  

We pack our parcels with every effort to prevent breakages however if you do receive a broken jar please send an email to enquiries@the-mercers.com with your order number, details of the damages and photographs of the damaged jar/s.  We will then contact you asap to arrange replacements to be sent.

Conserves Marmalades and Chutneys - Minimum 1 year on delivery
Curds - Minimum 6 months on delivery
