Pasta & Sauces
My Grandma (above), Concetta Paolozzi and her husband moved from Italy to England in 1919.
With five children and a husband to look after, like many housewives of the era, my Grandma spent a lot of time preparing meals. Pasta was eaten 3 or 4 times a week in different forms, but Sunday lunch was always her signature Pasta Sauce dish which originated in the mountain village of Colle San Magno where she grew up. Generations have continued the tradition and for over 20 years my family has enjoyed delicious variations to the sauce.
The Paolozzis never sold the Pasta Sauce but instead made their mark on the world with their own Ice Cream. Originally founded as Neil's Ices but later changed to Paolozzis Ices, there was a small fleet of ice cream vans and bicycles and a retail shop run by Auntie Rita.
Roll forward over 50 years and utilising our own food factory, finally we've launched this amazing sauce for everyone to enjoy.
These sauces are rich, mouthwatering tomato based sauces, and once simmered with the meat of your choice offers a tender, melt in the mouth experience.
We hope you love it as much as our family does.
